PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Delta EMC filters are designed to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), ensuring stable operation and compliance with IEC 61800-3 standards. When VFDs control motor speed using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), they generate high-frequency noise that can interfere with other electronic equipment. Delta’s EMC filters help suppress these disturbances, preventing conducted and radiated emissions from affecting the power supply and surrounding systems.
Delta offers input-side EMC filters to minimize noise feedback into the electrical network. These filters are commonly used with Delta VFD models like the C2000, MS300, and CP2000 series to improve efficiency and extend equipment lifespan. Proper installation, including grounding and shielding, ensures reliable performance in industrial automation, HVAC, and motor-driven applications.
Notes: Some drives have built in EMC filters and do not need an optional EMC filter added. Check either the catalog or specific product listing to see if your drive has a built in EMC filter. To be compliant with EMC regulations you may also need zero phase reactors. See compatible accessories below for zero phase reactors.
